25 Brainerd lakes area skiers and their families attended a Thanksgiving week training camp in Banff, Alberta, Canada.

Participants represented the Brainerd Warrior Alpine ski team and the Mount Ski Gull Alpine Club.

The week included training at Sunshine Village Ski Area, Nakiska Ski Area (home of the 1988 Calgary Olympic Ski events), Mt. Norquay Ski Area and watching the men's World Cup Downhill Race at Lake Louise in Alberta.

Mike Stone, Alex Stone and Taylor Fitterer coached the 7-day camp which resulted in skill improvements.

During the World Cup Downhill event at Lake Louise, some of the athletes were able to visit with USA Olympians Steve Nyman and Bryce Bennett.
