Alpine Skiing: Neifert picks up individual title as Brainerd sweeps dual

MONT DU LAC — Brandon Neifert won the individual title in 1:00.76 as Brainerd won its dual against Duluth Marshall in both boys and girls Wednesday, Feb. 10.

Neifert led a group of four Brainerd Warriors in the top five including Gavin Hoelzel in 1:01.44, Sean Baunmann in 1:02.45 and Esten Hiebert in 1:03.70.

Lauren Kalenberg finished second in 1:08.47 to be the top finisher for the girls. Kalenberg finished behind Lauren Carlson who finished in 1:07.52. Calia Chaney in 1:10.12 and Erin Hoelzel in 1:10.43 also finished in the top five for Brianerd.

The four best Brainerd racer was Alli Krantz with a sixth-place finish in 1:13.78.

Brainerd races next in the St. Cloud Invite Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Powder Ridge.
