AFTON ALPS-- Emma Hiebert and Brandon Neifert were the top finishers for the Brainerd Warriors in the 20-team Afton Alps Invite Friday, Jan. 25.
Hiebert was seventh overall for the Warriors girls who finished third behind Stillwater and Edina.
The Brainerd boys placed sixth led by Neifert's 11th-place showing.
The Warrior junior varsity girls won their division and Brainerd coach Jim Ruttger explained that Brainerd was third in an overall team competition that consisted of the combined scores from the boys and girls varsity and JV scores.
