BIWABIK - Alex Stone's second-place finish led the Brainerd Warrior girls to the team title Thursday during the Hibbing Invite at Giants Ridge.

The Brainerd boys, led by Tristan Elsenpeter's 10th-place, finished fourth.

Brainerd's Emily Aga placed seventh and Ashley Fitterer scored a 10th-place finish helping Brainerd to a winning score of 225.

"It was a nine team invitational and a match up we were waiting for because Hermantown is one of the toughest teams around," said Warriors head coach Jim Ruttger. "It was a showdown between the two teams and Brainerd came out on top."
