Left-hander Nick Maiers struck out 19 as Beaudreau's Saints of St. Cloud blanked the Brainerd Bees 10-0 in a Lakewood League opener Saturday at Adamson Field.
Maiers walked none in his complete game and yielded only four hits. Bryce Flanagan hit two doubles for the Bees and Blake Peterson and Colin Kleffman singled.
Peterson, who pitched 4.2 innings, took the loss. He walked seven and hit two batters and struck out nine. Burrell Flanagan, Hanson Devine and Joel Martin followed Peterson to the mound.
