Brindley Theisen pitched a complete game, four-hit shutout against the Brainerd Bees in their 6-0 loss to St. Cloud Beaudreaus. The game was the first of three the Bees played in the Nic Bell Tournament in Cold Spring over Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21.
The Bees only managed four singles off Theisen and Casey Welsh come down with the loss for Brainerd.
Bryce Flanagan went 3-3 in game two of the Nic Bell Tournament, but the Bees still lost to the Moorhead Brewers 2-1. Joel Martin went 1-3 and scored the only Bee run on a wild pitch in the fourth inning. A bases loaded walk won the game for the Brewers in bottom of the seventh.
McCale Peterson pitched all 6 1/3 innings for the Bees. He allowed two runs and two walks. He struck out two in the loss to the Brewers.
The Bees finished out the tournament on Sunday with a loss to tournament host Cold Spring. Joel Martin went 3-5 with a double and three RBI. Tim Martin went 2-4 with a sacrifice fly and two RBI. Phil Zynda, Grant Toivonen and Casey Welsh also had multiple hit games for the Bees.

Cold Spring used a seven run, seventh inning to blow the game open and beat the Brainerd Bees 13-7. Flanagan pitched five innings and allowed four runs on five hits in the loss.
