Josh Hukreide ripped a two-out single in the top of the tenth inning to score Casey Welsh as the game-winning run. The Brainerd Bees beat the Moorhead Mudcats 2-1 Wednesday, July 10.
Joel Martin belted a double in the top of the fourth inning and Alex Haapajoki drove him in with a single to score the first run for the Bees.
Brain Voigt started for the Bees and pitched six innings. He allowed one run on four hits with two strikeouts.
McCale Peterson came on in relief and threw four shutout innings earning him the win. Peterson made batters look foolish with eight strikeouts and allowed no hits. He also went 3-4 with a double.
