BUCKMAN — For the second straight game the Pierz Bulldogs built an early lead only to see it slip away.
This time Pierz held a 3-0 lead after three innings before the Buckman Billygoats stormed back for a 9-4 victory Sunday, June 26.
Travis Kahl pitched six innings of relief to earn the win. He allowed one run on two hits and no walks. Andrew Winscher started for Buckman and allowed three runs on three hits over three innings.
Lane Girtz went 2-2 with two runs. Matt Tautges scored three times and was 1-2 at the plate. Aaron Weber, Matt Kummet and Jack Suska all collected a hit and a run for Buckman.
Pierz’s Craig Luberts and Charles Boser were each 2-3 and Kirby Fischer posted the other hit for the Bulldogs

BUCKMAN — A 10-run second inning propelled the Buckman Billygoats to an 18-6 victory over Flensburg Sunday, June 26.
Noah Boser wad 4-5 with three runs scored as Buckman belted out 17 hits. The two biggest ones came from Aaron Weber and Jack Suska. who homered and combined to go 5-7 at the plate.
Shawn Lanners was 2-5 with two runs.
Weber also pitched a complete-game victory. He allowed six runs on seven hits.

ROYALTON — The Royalton Riverdogs outhit the Pierz Brewers 10-4, but the Brewers scored more runs to post a 4-3 victory Sunday, June 26.
Pierz scored first on a Pete Schommer sacrifice fly in the first. A Cody Kimman single and a Preston Veight double in the sixth had Pierz at three runs.

UPSALA — Riley Czech finished 3-4 with a triple, three runs and two RBIs to lead the Sobieski Skis to a 24-8 blowout of Upsala Sunday, June 26.
Collin Kray went 5-6 with two doubles, three runs and three RBIs. Matt Fillippi and Collen Eckman both drove in three runs. Eckman was 2-4 with three runs and a double.
Jake Kapphahn went 3-4 with a double, two runs and two RBIs. Joey Hanowski finished 2-6 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored. Dusty Parker drove in two runs and scored twice and Gabe Hirsch was 3-4 with three runs and an RBI. Zach Opatz added two runs and two RBIs.
Scott Litchy pitched the victory. He allowed six runs on 10 hits and one walk over four innings. He struck out three. Kapphahan struck out four and allowed one run on one hit and two walks over two innings of relief.
