AITKIN-The Nisswa Lightning tallied 61 runs in two-seven inning games over the weekend.

The 8-1 Lightning crushed the Aitkin Steam 38-2 Sunday and overpowered the Holdingford Express 23-2 Friday night.

Rick Schlieman went 4-5 for the Lakers while Jason Sadlovsky contributed a double and Shawn Fisher and Paul Herman had two hits each.

Travis Kahl, Mark Kahl and Joe Kahl accounted for the Buckman hits.

Ethan Branum threw a complete game three-hit shutout striking out five.

Rhett Williamson tripled and Brian Skluzacek and Brett Kramer each ripped doubles for the 9-0 Rebels who lead the North Division.
