BUCKMAN-Chad Weiss threw a complete-game, three-hit shutout with nine strikeouts for the Lastrup Lakers in an 8-0 win over the Buckman Billygoats in a battle for first place in the East Division Sunday.

The two teams entered the game with 6-1 records.

Rick Schlieman went 4-5 for the Lakers while Jason Sadlovsky contributed a double and Shawn Fisher and Paul Herman had two hits each.

Ethan Branum threw a complete game three-hit shutout striking out five.

Rhett Williamson tripled and Brian Skluzacek and Brett Kramer each ripped doubles for the 9-0 Rebels who lead the North Division.
