Roepke picked up his second complete game win of the tournament as the

Nisswa Lightning defeated Waseca 4-2 Saturday to advance to the third

round of the Class C state tournament.

Jenkins also scored Nisswa's first run when he walked in the first and

scored on Drew Boland's double.

Jeremiah Piepkorn finished 2-4 with a double.

Roepke allowed just four hits over the first seven innings before

struggling briefly in the bottom of the eighth. After giving up a leadoff

walk to Zach Rowles, he served up a two-run home run ball to Kevin Nelson

that cut the lead to 4-2. He retired the next six batters in order to seal

the win.

Roepke struck out only two, while putting 76 of 122 pitches in the zone.
