PIERZ — Preston Rocheleau struck out 17 in eight innings pitched as the Pierz Lakers beat Opole 12-2 in eight innings in a Victory League game Sunday, June 13.
Ryan Diers tallied three hits including a triple and finished with three RBIs for the Lakers.
Peter Herman went 2-4 with a home run and a double with three RBIs as well for the Lakers.
Alex Haapajoki tallied two doubles as the Lakers gathered 18 hits total.
Carter Petron also tallied three hits in the win.

ST. WENDEL — Isaac Otte threw a complete game shutout in the Pierz Brewers’ 5-0 win over St. Wendel in a Victory League game Sunday, June 13.
Otte allowed four hits and struck seven in his nine innings.
Cody Kimman blasted a solo home run for the Brewers to pick up the only RBI for the Brewers.
Brian Kiel ripped a double for the Brewers as well.

FORT RIPLEY — Nathan Ehnstrom went 4-4 in Fort Ripley’s 18-2 win over Flensburg in a Victory League game Saturday, June 12.
Fort Ripley scored three in the first inning and 10 in the second inning to build its big lead.

NISSWA — Michael Hoge hit the go-ahead two-run single for the Nisswa Lightning in their 4-2 win over Swanville in a Victory League game Saturday, June 12.
Hoge’s hit capped off a four-run seventh inning for the Lightning. Tyler Wittwer and Ty Swenson also notched RBIs in the inning.
Matt Casperson tallied a double for Nisswa in the win.
Tyler Wittwer earned the win on the mound and tallied five strikeouts in 2.2 innings. Sam Jensen started for Nisswa and struck out seven in 5.2 innings.

Sobieski scored five runs in the top of 10th to take a 7-2 lead. St. Mathias scored three in the bottom of the tenth.
Kyle Welle went 3-5 and Kolten Happke went 2-5 for St. Mathias in the loss.
