Avon 7, Fort Ripley 2
Avpn - The league's last remaining undefeated team, the Fort Ripley Rebels, lost 7-2 to the Avon Lakers Saturday in a battle between the North and South Division leaders.
The Rebels recorded nine hits by nine different batters.
Logan Kalis was tagged with the loss in relief pitching the final three innings allowing five runs on six hits. Starter Ethan Branum struck out four and walked three while giving up four hits and two runs over five innings.

Aitkin 3, Freeport 1
FREEPORT - Nathan Ehnstrom retired 21 of the last 23 batters he faced in Aitkin's 3-1 win over the Freeport Black Sox Sunday in a game that improved the first-year Steam's chances of making the playoffs.
Ehnstrom went the distance striking out eight while giving up one run and three hits, two of which came in the first inning when the Black Sox tallied their only run. He also went 2-5 at the plate with a pair of doubles, an RBI and run scored.
Brian Burman added another double while going 2-3 with an RBI and run and Kuppich had a pair of singles.
Aitkin is 5-6 and in third place in the North Division with games remaining against Fort Ripley and Nisswa.
