NISSWA-Drew Boland belted two home runs and doubled twice while driving in three runs and scoring four times to lead the North Division leading Nisswa Lightning to an 8-3 win over the Randall Cubs in non-division play Friday, June 29.

Jeremiah Piepkorn also collected four hits including a pair of doubles for Nisswa. Chris Pederson added a home run and Kevin Smith doubled.

Scott Sand earned the win for the Lightning tossing eight innings while allowing three runs and eight hits.

Postponements/delays

At least three games were postponed by rain, Sunday, July 1.

They included the Aitkin Steam at the Flensburg Falcons, Freeport Black Sox at Lastrup Lakers and Aitkin at Nisswa Lightning.

Sunday games that were pushed back to later starts due to rain included Flensburg at Fort Ripley, St. Mathias Devils at Cuyuna Range Miners and Pierz Bulldogs at Lastrup Lakers.
