Eric Martin hit an RBI single in Brainerd's 4-2 victory over Plover, WI in the first game of the Fargo Tournament Friday, June 28.
Brainerd trailed 2-0 after the first inning, but was able to put up four runs in the top of the fourth inning giving them enough cushion for the victory. Mason Argir pitched 6 1/3 innings allowing only the two runs on six hits and getting the win.
Renzen Caughey and Martin drove in runs and Michael Laber hit a double for Brainerd.
Broc Peterson went 3 for 4 in the second game of the Fargo Tournament Friday, but Brainerd fell to Bloomington 12-6.
Brainerd held a 4-0 lead after the first inning, but Bloomington responded by scoring two runs in the second, third and fourth innings to take a 6-4 lead. Still clinging to that lead in the top of the seventh Bloomington blew the game open with a six-run seventh putting the game out of reach for Brainerd.

Konnor Wicklund was 2-3 with a triple and an RBI and Gunnar Wicklund was 1-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
Argir had two RBIs in Brainerd's third game of the Fargo Tournament Saturday, June 29. Brainerd lost 5-3 to St. Mike's.
Brainerd struck first in the top of the first taking a 1-0 lead, but St Mike's responded with two runs in the bottom of the first. Argir's two RBIs in the fourth tied the game at three, but in the fifth St. Mike's added two more and hung on for the win.
Martin pitched six innings allowing five runs on eight hits.
Ben Jones went 1-3 with a run scored in Brainerd's 4-1 loss to Manitoba. Boc Peterson pitched 5 1/ 3 innings allowing four runs on six hits striking out four.
