PINE CITY-Caleb Curtiss hit and pitched the Aitkin Gobblers to a 16-2 Great River Conference victory over Pine City Wednesday.
Curtiss went the distance allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits and four walks. He struck out eight and managed to stay under the maximum pitch count with 103 pitches.
He helped his own cause by going 2-3 with a double, four RBIs and a run scored.
Jesse Henline went 2-2 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored and Jake Westerlund was 2-4 with a double and two RBIs for the Gobblers who improved to 8-0 in the conference.
