RUSH CITY - Sophomore Jeb Sanford probably slept well Tuesday night with sweet dreams.
He pitched a five-inning no-hitter to give Class 2A's 11th-ranked Aitkin Gobblers a 16-0 victory over Rush City in Tuesday's Great River Conference game.
Sanford struck out seven and didn't walk a batter and was also 3-4 at the plate with two doubles, three RBIs and three runs scored.
Brother Wyatt Sanford finished 3-3 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs. Jacob Hyytinen was also 3-3 with a pair of doubles, two runs and two RBIs.
Jake Lynn added a double and Sam Peterson contributed a triple for the Gobblers who are 8-0 in the conference, 12-2 overall.

ST. CLOUD - Dan Marod went 2-3 with an RBI for the Little Falls Flyers as they lost 5-2 to Class 2A's No. 1-ranked St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders in a Granite Ridge Conference matchup Tuesday night.
The Flyers' Adam Hallberg pitched six innings with four strikeouts and took the loss.
Tom Miller also went 2-3 for Little Falls, which is ranked 20th in 2A.

Wadena-DC sweeps
CROSBY - Jake Dykhoff knocked in three runs on three hits as the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines swept a pair of games from Crosby-Ironton in a Mid-State doubleheader Tuesday.
Isaac Witthuhn went 2-5 with two hits and three RBIs and Dykhoff collected two hits and an RBI along with a double in a 10-4 Wolverines win in Game One.
Jake Larson was 2-3 with a double while Ben Jordan tallied two hits with a double and RBI for the Rangers.
Dykhoff provided more punch in an 8-2 win for Wadena-Deer Creek in Game Two as he had a hit along with two RBIs. Preston Warren also knocked in two runs.
Josh Maucieri was the hitting standout for C-I in Game Two, going 2-3 with two RBIs.

Raiders sweep Menahga
BERTHA - Dillon Card picked up two wins on the mound as the Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Raiders defeated the Menahga Braves 2-1 and 9-2 in a Park Region Conference doubleheader Tuesday.
Card pitched the final two innings of Game One in relief of Ethan Korfe. Kyle Skoog led the offensive attack going 2-3 with a double and run scored.
Card threw the first five innings of Game Two striking out two while allowing just one hit and no runs.
Matt Lipinski was 3-4 with an RBI and two runs. Mack Jones, Luke Weniger and Korfe collected two hits each.

Zach Forsberg gave up two runs over 6.2 innings for Pillager to get the win.
In Game One, Brian Mason doubled and Chris Ringler was 1-3 tallying two RBIs as Pillager fell 8-4.

Austin Mesenbrink took the loss in Game One despite pitching a complete game. He allowed only two hits and no earned runs with two walks and three strikeouts.
