PEQUOT LAKES — Pequots Lakes’ Nic Kotaska pitched seven innings allowing only five hits, with 11 strikeouts as the Patriots beat the Crosby-Ironton Rangers 9-2 in Game One of a Mid-State Conference doubleheader Thursday, April 29.
Patriots’ Riggs Magnuson was 2-3 with two RBIs and Sam Rysavvy was 1-3 with two RBIs and a run.
Crosby-Ironton’s Dietrich Winegarner recorded a double in Game One, while Carter Holtzleicer was 2-3 with a run for the Rangers.
Game Two between the Patriots and Rangers ended in a 2-2 tie.
