PEQUOT LAKES-The Pequot Lakes Patriots maintained their lead in the Mid-State Conference after sweeping the Park Rapids Panthers 9-5 and 9-2 in Tuesday.
The Patriots lead the conference with a 6-0 record and are 7-3 overall.
In Game One, Casey Welsh notched a home run and two RBIs while going 2-4 and winning pitcher Ethan Lehman finished 2-3 with pair of RBIs. Zach Sjoblad doubled and Tyler Manley contributed a triple.
Sjoblad drove in three runs in Game Two while going 2-3, including his second double of the day. Manley added two hits, including a double, and Marcus Klein singled twice with two RBIs.

In Game One, Tommy Kossan went 2-5 with two runs and an RBI, Chistensen knocked in a pair of runs and Schmidt was 1-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI during the Cardinal's 8-7 loss.

WALKER-The Pine River-Backus Tigers wound up on the losing end of both Northland Conference games with Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Tuesday 7-4 and 4-1.
In the first game, the Tigers scattered six hits, including a Joe Davidson homer, and doubles by Zack Tulenchik and Brenden Fenstermaker.
Nick Ackerman finished the second game 2-3 with a double and Davidson collected a pair of singles, while Tulenchik recorded a double.
