Cody Kimmin went 2-4 with two RBIs in Pierz’s 7-6 win over Albany Monday, July 8. Pierz was losing 6-0 going into the bottom of the seventh inning when 10 straight batters reached base and Mike Leidenfrost’s walk scored the winning run.
Leidenfrost went 1-2 with two walks including the game winning RBI. Noah Cekalla scorched an RBI double and Issac Otte went 1-3 with a run scored. Brandon Stuckmayer also drove in two runs and scored a run.
Otte picked up the win allowing no runs in his two innings of work. The win improves Pierz’s legion record to 5-1. Their next game is Thursday, July 11 against Foley.
