MILACA — Pierz’s Zach Jones was 1-2 with a triple and two runs as the Pioneers defeated the Milaca Wolves 8-1 Tuesday, April 20, in a Granite Ridge Conference game.

Chandler Doucette was 2-3 with a run while pitcher Andy Winscher struck out 11 in five innings for the victory.

Aitkin splits

PARK RAPIDS — Aitkin’s Landon Janzen was 3-4 with two runs and three RBIs for the Gobblers as they defeated the Park Rapids Panthers 15-3 in Game One and fell 2-0 in the nightcap of a Tuesday, April 20, Mid-State Conference doubleheader.

Hunter Hills recorded a double and two runs in Game One for Aitkin.

In Game Two, Owen Miller and Cadien Kjelstrom each registered one strikeout.
