PILLAGER-Josh Doss went 2-for-3 with a home run, double and two RBIs for Pillager in the Huskies' 3-2 Park Region Conference win over the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines in the season opener for both teams Tuesday.
Chris Ringler picked up the win and didn't allow an earned run over four innings before giving way to Sam Jensen who threw the final three innings giving up just one earned run. Ringler also contributed a double at the plate.
Isaac Witthun and Wyatt Hamann each went 2-3 for W-DC and Maxwell Phillips added a double.

C-I loses twice
CROSBY-Jake Larson went 3-6 on the day with three RBIs and a double for the Crosby-Ironton Rangers who dropped both sides of a Mid-State Conference doubleheader with Detroit Lakes Tuesday.
The Lakers won the opener 15-3 in five innings and took the nightcap 8-5 in a game shortened to five innings because of darkness.
Matt Stangel and Matt Christopher contributed doubles for C-I in the second game.
