Josh Doss led off the game for Pillager legion with a double as a part of two-run first inning against Wadena, Wednesday, July 10. Pillager would end up squandering their early lead when Noah Roers hit a three-run home run for Wadena in the third inning. Wadena would end up winning the game 3-2.
Griffen Decker and Gabe Grimsley both hit RBI groundouts in the first inning to score both Doss and Ty Swenson. Max Philips pitched all seven innings for Wadena and struck out two. He allowed just three hits and did not walk a batter.
Sam Jensen pitched all six innings for Pillager and allowed just two hits, but walked five. He also struck out five batters as well.
