Josh Doss pitched six innings and struck out three batters in Pillager’s 10-5 win over Aitkin, Sunday, July 21.
Cole Hiltner and Sam Jensen both went 2-4 and Doss went 1-2 and walked three times. The win kept Pillager alive in the losers bracket of the Division II West Division Tournament.
The next game saw Pillager go up 7-0 after the first inning against Mora. By the fifth inning, Mora had tied things up 8-8. Doss went 5-5, Tytan Skeesick went 3-4 and Jensen went 2-2 in Pillager’s 11-8 over Mora.
Ty Swenson earned the win in 1 2/3 innings of relief. He allowed no runs, on one hit and struck out two batters.
