PR-Backus drops both

PINE RIVER-Nick Ackerman went 2-for-3, pitched five innings and tallied six strikeouts in Game One and the Pine River-Backus Tigers lost 4-0 and 10-3 to the Nevis Tigers in a Northland Conference doubleheader Monday.

Brandon Wolske and Logan Gordon each slammed doubles for PR-B.

PARKERS PRAIRIE-Mack Jones slammed a home run among his four hits and drove in five runs for the Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Raiders as they fell twice in a Park Region Conference doubleheader against Parkers Prairie Monday.

Luke Weniger recorded a triple and double in his four hits for the Raiders who fell 10-8 and 18-3.
