WADENA — Josh Dykhoff notched a double and a triple as No. 2 Wadena-Deer Creek won its 15th-straight game with a 10-2 win over No. 3 Menahga in the Section 8-2A Quarterfinals Thursday, June 3.
Payton Rondestvedt was 3-4 with a double and also recorded the win. He struck out seven batters and scattered five hits in seven innings.
The Wolverines split with Menahga during the regular season. They lost the first match up 4-3 April 23 and rebounded for a 4-0 victory April 29.

DEER CREEK — Josh Dykoff drove in the only run for the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines in the Section 8-2A semifinals as they fell to the Perham Yellowjackets 4-1 Thursday, June 3.
Dykhoff also pitched six innings and struck out four in the loss. Tony Kreklau went 1-3 with one run and a triple for the Wolverines.

NASHWAUK — Gus Sanford doubled and homered as well as drove in three runs as the No. 2 seeded Aitkin Gobblers powered past No. 3 Virginia 13-2 in the Section 7-2A Semifinals Thursday, June 3.
Jake Ince, Owen Miller and Landon Janzen all finished with three RBIs. Janzen doubled twice. Miller was 2-3 with two runs and Ince was 2-4 with two runs.
Caiden Kjelstrom went 1-2 with two walks and three runs scored and Joey Simonson, Hunter Nissen and Logan Olson all finished with two hits.
Olson pitched the complete-game three hitter. He did allow two unearned runs and finished with one walk and four strikeouts.
