BARNUM - The top-seeded Barnum Bombers crushed the No. 8 Aitkin Gobblers 73-37 in the opening round of the Subsection 1, Section 7-2A tournament Wednesday.
Nathan Davies led Aitkin with 14 points and Wyatt Sanford added 10.
Barnum is 26-1 and had won 23 in a row before losing to Braham Feb. 17.
Brandon Newman's 17 points paced a balanced Barnum scoring attack.
The Gobblers finish 6-21, losing their last six games. They lost 80-47 to the Bombers during the regular season.
