CROSBY-Johnathan Jacobson recorded a game-high 16 points to lead a balanced scoring attack for the Crosby-Ironton Rangers, who opened their Holiday Tournament with a 73-40 win over the Deer River Warriors Thursday, Dec. 27.
Jacobson also finished with team-high 10 rebounds and eight assists.
Sam Jordan added 12 points on 4 of 8 three-point shooting, all in the first half as C-I took a 38-21 lead at the intermission.
Kyle Skeim finished with 11 points, all in the first half, and Joseph Stokman contributed 10 points.
Deer River was paced by Kyle Sevich with 12 points.

The 5-1 Rangers face Renville County West in the second round of the tournament 7:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28. RCW defeated Fond du Lac 87-62 Thursday night.
