Area Boys Basketball: Pierz knocks off Pequot Lakes in double OT

PIERZ — Jonah Prokott scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Pierz Pioneers in their 77-72 double-overtime win over the Pequot Lakes Patriots Monday, Jan. 20, in Pierz.

Brandon Stuckmayer chipped in with 11 points and Robert Schaefer snatched 11 rebounds for Pierz.

Bode Magnuson led all scorers with 30 points for Pequot Lakes. Alex Morgan and Korey Jackson each scored double figures as well.

MORA — The Aitkin Gobblers fell to the Mora Mustangs 49-40 Monday, Jan. 20, in Mora.

The loss drops Aitkin’s record to 6-7 and they travel to play Pequot Lakes 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21.
