DULUTH — Peter Schommer led the Pierz Pioneers with 20 points as the No. 3 seeded Pioneers defeated the No. 2 seeded Moose Lake-Willow River Rebels 78-65 in the Section 7-2A Quarterfinals Saturday, March 9.
Michael Leidenfrost added 16 points for the Pioneers and Robert Schaefer grabbed 12 rebounds.
Jonah Prokott scored 12 points for the Pioneers who built a 34-29 halftime lead and outscored the Rebels 44-36 in the second half thanks to 49% shooting from the field.

Bode Magnuson added 11 points for the Patriots, who finished the season 19-10 overall.
