SWANVILLE-Kyle Schmitz hit a 15-foot buzzer-beater that gave the Verndale Pirates a 54-52 non-conference victory over the Swanville Bulldogs Monday.
Jordan Brownlow led Verndale with 18 points while Nathan Sabinash finished with 12 and Taylor Willis 10.
The Pirates are 7-4 and have won three straight.
