Area Boys Basketball: Rangers win home tourney

CROSBY--Kyle Skeim led a quintet of Rangers in double figures with 23 points as Crosby-Ironton defeated the Fond du Lac Ogichidaag 96-80 in the third round of the C-I tournament for the team title of the C-I Holiday Tournament Saturday, Dec. 29.

CROSBY-Kyle Skeim led a quintet of Rangers in double figures with 23 points as Crosby-Ironton defeated the Fond du Lac Ogichidaag 96-80 in the third round of the C-I tournament for the team title of the C-I Holiday Tournament Saturday, Dec. 29.

Skeim was successful on 11 of 14 attempts from the field and had three blocked shots and eight rebounds.

Dakota Mitchell came of the bench for 19 points and Joseph Stokman finished with 15. Johnathan Jacobson tallied 13 points, a team-high 14 rebounds and eight assists, and Sam Jordan contributed 13 points.

Fond du Lac was paced by eighth-grader Jordan Brown who drilled 10 of 18 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 42 points earning him a place on the all-tournament team along with C-I's Jacobson and Stokman.

LITTLE FALLS-Luke Kush put up 15 points as the Little Falls Flyers defeated the Upsala Cardinals 56-44 in a non-conference matchup Saturday, Dec. 29.

Mason Wickstrom and Travis Wenzel each tallied 11 points as the Flyers improved to 4-5 overall.
