PERHAM-Brady Raph and Nate Brasel of the Pine River-Backus Tigers and Brady Enneking of Pillager are headed to the Class 1A state tournament.
Raph shot rounds of 82-80 for a second-place 162 and Brasel an 86-81 for a sixth-place 167 for the Tigers, who rallied to finish second in the Section 6-1A final Thursday at Lakeside Golf Course.
Enneking finished eighth overall with his two-day 168, but made the cut as the top team and top six players not on that team advance to the state tournament.
Walker-Hackensack-Akeley won the tournament with a 691, PR-B finished with a 699, despite improving upon its first round score by 11 strokes.
Pillager's Isaac Thomsen was one place behind Enneking with a ninth-place 169 and Gage Kuehl placed 11th with a 174. PR-B's Hank Raph shot 177 to finish 12th individually.

Burgstaler leads area players
BIWABIK-Crosby-Ironton's Tom Burgstaler shaved four strokes off his opening round 91 to shoot an 87 Thursday and finished 20th with a 178 in the Section 7-2A finals at The Quarry at Giants Ridge.
Teammate Matt Donovan placed 22nd with a 179, while Aitkin's Tom Peterson placed 26th with a 182.
