Area Boys Golf: Beck Erholtz leads after first round in Section 6-2A

SARTELL--Beck Erholtz of Staples-Motley shot 74 to gain individual honors and he and five other area golfers advanced to the final day of the Section 6-2A meet following the first round Monday, June 3, at Blackberry Ridge Golf Club.

Ethan Ballou of Little Falls was three shots behind Erholtz in fourth place with a 77 and advances along with Crosby-Ironton's Casey Finnerty, Cayden Turk, and Colten Turk. The three Rangers finished tied for 13th place with an 82.

Logan Herold of Pierz also moves on with an 18th-place 84.

BEMIDJI-Henry Neva's opening-round 89 landed the Pequot Lakes Patriots' sophomore in a tie for 33rd in the Section 8-2A tournament at Bemidji Town and Country Club Monday, June 3.

Brodie Olson fired a 91 to tie for 38th and John Marchwick is tied for 46th with his 98.
