Area Boys Golf: Flyers, Pierz tie for 3rd

Three area golf teams compete Thursday, April 29

PIERZ — Lance Otremba backed up his medalist finish Wednesday with a third-place 42 in a Granite Ridge Conference meet Thursday, April 29, at the Pierz Golf Course.

Otremba was followed by Logan Herold’s seventh-place 44. Alex Banick shot 47 and Tyler Theis 50 to land Pierz in a tie for third with the Little Falls Flyers.

Richie Varriano led the Flyers with his fifth-place 43. George Moore tied herald for seventh and Ben Rekstad, Nolan Kray and Hayden Johnson all shot 48 for Little Falls.

Pillager places 4th

FERGUS FALLS — Owen Pantzke and Brendan Brichacek each shot rounds of 100 to lead the Pillager Huskies to fourth place in a Quad County Conference meet Thursday, April 29, at Pebble Lake Golf Course.

Braedyn Berent fired a 103 and Gunnar Casuse shot a 105 for Pillager's 408.
