SARTELL-Andrew Israelson's 75 handed him the first round lead and helped the Staples-Motley Cardinals to third in Monday's first round of the Section 6-2A tournament at Blackberry Golf Club.
Tyler Helling shot 81, Beck Erholtz 87 and Finn Erholtz 89 for the Cardinals 332, which puts them 15 strokes behind leader Becker.
Austin Visker shot 89 to lead the Little Falls Flyers to eighth place and Pierz placed 14th with Brandon Funk's 97 leading the way.
The top four teams and top nine individuals not on those teams advance to the final round.

BEMIDJI-Wadena-Deer Creek's Jordan Kern is five shots off the lead after the first round of the Section 8-2A tournament Monday at Bemidji Town and Country Club.
Isaac Cihak of Detroit Lakes and Crookston's BRock Heppner each shot 76 for a tie for the individual lead.
