Area Boys Golf: Israelson second, S-M third

SARTELL--Staples-Motley's Andrew Israelson tied with medalist Jackson Fluck of Becker, but lost a scorecard playoff as the two both shot 77s Monday in the Presection 6-2A meet at Blackberry Ridge.

SARTELL-Staples-Motley's Andrew Israelson tied with medalist Jackson Fluck of Becker, but lost a scorecard playoff as the two both shot 77s Monday in the Presection 6-2A meet at Blackberry Ridge.

Israelson's round along with 89s from Finn and Beck Erholtz and a 94 from Jacob Bendson landed the Cardinals in third place behind St. Cloud Cathedral and Becker.

Little Falls placed ninth with Dakota Joslin's 95 leading the way. Pierz's Brandon Funk led the Pioneers to 11th place.

Pillager places second

EAST GULL LAKE-Brady Enneking carded a second-place 86 and Gage Kuehl a third-place 87 to lead the Pillager Huskies to second place in Monday's Pillager Invite at Cragun's Legacy Courses.

The Huskies shot a 388 to fall just behind team champion Ottertail Central, which was led by Adam Young's medalist score of 79.

Team scores: 1-Ottertail Central 379, 2-Pillager 388, 3-Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Browerville 391, 4-Rothsay 392, 5-Underwood 402
