HERMANTOWN - Ryan Keron scored two goals and added two assists as Class 1A's top-ranked Hermantown Hawks blanked the Brainerd Warriors 9-0 in a non-conference game Friday night.
Brady Mick stopped 38 shots before leaving the game in the second period with an injury. Sophomore James Engen, in his varsity debut, finished up with 13 saves for Brainerd which managed just 12 shots.
Hermantown, which improved to 17-0-1 in its last 18 games and is 20-2-1 overall, has finished second in the last five 1A state tournaments.
