BREEZY POINT-Northern Lakes goalie Adler Hoagland scored a rare goal in the Lightning's 4-3 win over the Lake of the Woods Bears in a non-conference matchup Tuesday, Feb. 5.
Hoagland deflected a LOW pass from behind his goal that went across the rink into the LOW empty net with 2:37 left to play. The Bears had pulled their goalie in the closing minutes while trailing 3-2.
Also scoring goals for the Lightning were Dylan Messenbrink, Hunter Nybakken and Caiden Kjelstrom.
Lake of the Woods held a 32-25 shots-on-goal advantage over the 6-13-2 Lightning who are on a four-game unbeaten streak, 3-0-1.

BENSON-Max Phillips and Logan Robinson scored goals for the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines who were defeated in overtime by the Morris-Benson Storm 3-2 in a Section 6-1A matchup Tuesday, Feb. 5.
The Wolverines were leading 2-1 with 1:16 left in regulation when Hunter Blume punched in a power-play goal for the Storm. Kolby Goff netted the winner 6:15 into the overtime.
Josh Dykhoff made 29 save for W-DC, which has lost three straight and four of its last five.
