PROCTOR-Kasey Couture and Shane Donovan netted first period power-play goals, leading the Northern Lakes Lightning to their second win of the season, a 4-1 victory over the Proctor Rails in a non-conference game Monday, Jan. 14.
Dylan Mesenbrink and Kyler Couture added even-strength goals in the second period.
Northern Lakes goalie Sam LeMieur missed his chance for a shutout when Proctor slipped the puck past him on a power play with eight seconds left in the game.
Proctor outshot the Lightning 38-26.
The Lightning had lost five straight before Monday's win.
