Area Boys Hockey: Lightning double up W-DC

BREEZY POINT - A hat trick by Jake Hyytinen helped the Northern Lake Lightning snap a three-game losing streak with a 6-3 victory over the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines in a Mid-State Conference/Section 6-1A game Tuesday.

Also finding the net for the Lightning were Jared Sewall, Nick Olson and Jordan Lelwica.

Goalie Mitch Stangl stopped 24 of the 27 shots he faced.

Little Falls 4, Becker-Big Lake 3

LITTLE FALLS - Four different Little Falls Flyers scored and Ezra Spandl collected 12 saves as Little Falls beat Becker-Big Lake 4-3 Tuesday.
