BREEZY POINT-Shane Donovan netted a pair of goals for the Northern Lakes Lightning who wrapped up their regular season with a 7-0 shutout of Bagley-Fosston Thursday in non-conference play.
Northern Lakes goalie Jaeger Reed was rarely challenged, stopping the five shots he faced, while the Lightning were putting 57 shots on goal at the other end of the ice.
Josh Maucieri finished with four points for the Lightning on a goal and three assists while Kasey Couture, Maverick Engstrom, Brett Reed and Zach Myhre added lone goals.
Northern Lakes finishes the regular season 20-4-1 and as the seventh seed face No. 10 Red Lake Falls in a Section 8-1A play-in game 6 p.m. Tuesday at Breezy Point.

DETROIT LAKES-The Little Falls Flyers received first-period scoring from Hunter Swanson and Trenton Axel, but were shut out in the last two periods and in overtime as they ended the regular season with a 2-2 tie with Detroit Lakes Thursday.
The Lakers came in with wins in seven of their last nine games while the Flyers had lost four of their last five.
Swanson tied the game 1-1 on an unassisted goal at the 12:37 mark. Axel put the Flyers ahead with an assist to Adam Josephson at 15:04 of the first.
The Flyers put 34 shots on net. Justin Pekula tallied 20 saves in the Little Falls net.
Little Falls' regular season ends with a 15-9-1 record. The Flyers will host Fergus Falls in the Section 6-1A quarterfinals Tuesday.
