Area Boys Hockey: Lightning tag Panthers with 10 goals

The Northern Lakes Lightning opened the season with a commanding 10- win.

BREEZY POINT — Senior goalie Adler Hoagland kept his net unblemished as he stopped all 22 shots he faced in the Northern Lakes Lightning’s 10-0 shutout of the Park Rapids Panthers in a Mid-state Conference match Thursday, Jan. 14.

Caiden Kjelstrom and Hunter Nybakken each scored twice for the Lightning. Adding lone goals were Tyler Seeling, Colton Craig, Jamison St. Clair, Owen Miller, Kyler Couture and Quady Bernu.

Northern Lakes outshot Park Rapids 64-22.
