Area Boys Hockey: Northern Lakes skate past Crookston

BREEZY POINT — Shane Donovan and Caiden Kjelstrom each finished with six points for the Northern Lakes Lightning who downed the Crookston Pirates 9-4 in non-conference play Thursday, Jan. 23.

Donovan contributed three goals and three assists while Kjelstrom finished with a goal and five assists to help the Lightning to their fourth straight win.

Hunter Nybakken added a pair of goals and two assists for the Lightning. Tyler Seeling, Quady Bernu and Kyler Couture also scored goals for Northern Lakes.

WADENA — Dalton Moyer scored two goals in the final minute of the game for the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines who defeated the Bagley/Fosston Flyers 7-2 Thursday, Jan. 23.

John Oberg and Connor Davis also scored twice for WDC and Aidan Allfred accounted for the other goal.

Goalie Josh Dykhoff collected 11 saves for the Wolverines, who outshot the Flyers 40-13.
