WADENA-Max Phillips scored twice for the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines who were defeated 4-3 by the Lake of the Woods Bears in a non-conference game Friday, Dec. 7.
Both of Phillips' goals came in the second period giving the Wolverines a 2-1 lead heading into the final stanza.
LOW netted three consecutive goals before Lleyton Pettit punched in a power-play goal for WDC with less than two minutes remaining.
