ST. CLOUD - The No. 2-seeded St. Cloud Crusaders exploded for five goals in the first six minutes and went on to defeat the No. 7 Little Falls Flyers 9-2 in the Section 6-1A quarterfinals Tuesday night.
Daniel Marod and Landon Bjorge netted goals for the Flyers with Austin Fenske picking up an assist.
Ezra Spandl and Gunner Boser split the time in net for Little Falls with Spandl stopping eight of 12 shots and Boser 24 of 29. Cathedral outshot the Flyers 41-12, including 38-8 in the first two periods.
The Flyers beat the Crusaders 3-0 and lost to St. Cloud 6-0 during the regular season. They finish 13-13-1.

ALEXANDRIA - Jake Hyytinen found the net for the only goal in the No. 8-seeded Northern Lakes Lightning's 10-1 loss to top-seeded and Class 1A's fifth-ranked Alexandria Cardinals in quarterfinal play of Section 6-1A Tuesday.
Hyytinen's goal assisted by Nick Reed tied the score briefly at 1-1 in the first, but it was all Alexandria after that.
Northern Lakes managed just five shots on goal in the contest and Lightning goalie Mitch Stangle was able to stop 38 of the 48 shots he faced.
The Lightning finish 11-16-0.
