Area Boys Hockey: W-DC falls at home

WADENA - Wadena-Deer Creek goalie Toby Wood was peppered with 45 shots, but the Wolverines were able to keep the game close before losing 7-5 to Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato Friday.

WADENA - Wadena-Deer Creek goalie Toby Wood was peppered with 45 shots, but the Wolverines were able to keep the game close before losing 7-5 to Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato Friday.

LDC cashed in on four of five power plays, including three in the first period when they outshot WDC 21-4 and built a 5-1 lead.

Michael Behl netted two goals for the Wolverines and Thomas Brekke, Blaine Cooper and Elijah Schmitz had one each.

The Wolverines managed just 18 shots on goal putting in five.
