Area Boys Hockey: W-DC notches win No. 2

WADENA — Lleyten Pettit and Wyatt Murray each tallied a pair of goals for the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines in an 8-1 win over the Worthington Trojans Friday, Dec. 27 in the W-DC Holiday Tournament.

Austyn Oothoudt, Connor Davis, Kade woods and Cole Woods also scored for W-DC

Josh Dykhoff recorded 14 saves and Garrett Baron made three for W-DC, which outshot Worthington 41-18.

LITTLE FALLS — Gunnar Gustafson notched a hat trick for the Little Falls Flyers who outshot Willmar 49-16 in an 11-4 win over the Willmar Cardinals in the Little Falls Holiday Tournament Friday, Dec. 27.

Ryan Buckallew and Nicholas Stevens each added a pair of goals while the Flyers received goals from Gabe Hirsch, Robby Kuchinski-Helgeson, Coltin Johnson and Mason Doble.

ST. CLOUD — Kyler Couture scored a goal and assisted on another for the Northern Lakes Lightning who were defeated 5-2 by the St. Francis Fighting Saints at the Granite City Showcase Friday, Dec. 27.

Goalie Adler Hoagland recorded 30 saves for the Lightning, who were outshot 35-24.
