Area Boys Soccer: Flyers rally for a win

MINNEWASKA — Alex Loukinen’s 35-yard free kick with 5:49 remaining broke a 1-1 tie and led the Little Falls Flyers to a 2-1 Granite Ridge Conference victory over Minnewaska Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Tauer Morrison tied the game at 1-1 with his goal five minutes after Minnewaska opened the scoring in the second half.

Little Falls beat Minnewaska 4-1 Sept. 17.

Ben Rekstad finished with thee saves to improve the Flyers’ record to 6-4.

Lake Region 1, St. Francis 1

BAXTER — Trey Ogren’s second-half goal tied the Tuesday, Oct. 6, Minnesota Association of Christian Schools contest between Lake Region Christian and St. Francis at 1-1 and that’s how it ended.

Damian Craig assisted on the Ogren goal.

Hornets’ keeper Josiah McGaffey collected six saves.
