Area Boys Soccer: Hornets finish 4th in state tourney

PLYMOUTH — Jake Borders scored a first-half goal for the Lake Region Christian Hornets, but Owatonna tallied twice in the second half to capture the third-place game in the Minnesota Association of Christian Schools state tournament Saturday, Oct. 31.

Damian Craig assisted on the Borders goal. Josiah McFaffey finished with 11 saves in net for Lake Region.

Borders and Trey Ogren were named to the All-MACS tournament team. The duo was also named first team all-conference players. Soren Benson and Phil Imdieke landed on the all-conference second team and John Paul Fitzpatrick earned honorable mention consideration.
