Area Boys Soccer: Hornets open tournament 2-0-1

BAXTER--Tyler Ogren tallied three goals for the Lake Region Hornets who won two games and tied one in the opening day of the Paul Bunyan Tournament at Lake Region Christian School Friday.

The Hornets battled to a scoreless tie with Heritage in the opening game, defeated Owatonna Christian 4-1 in the second, and shutout Chisago Lake Baptist 5-0 in the third game.

Nick Christenson and Clay Richter split the goaltending duties for the Hornets who outshot their opponents 36-11 over the three games. Levi Jensen collected three assists and a goal.

Lake Region played Fourth Baptist for the tournament championship at noon Saturday.
